The third Create WV Conference came to a close on Tuesday with over 420 people experiencing the power of an emerging creative community - Huntington, WV. Special thanks to othe local Create Huntington team who put in countless hours and contributed valuable leadership and ideas.

For two years, Create WV has gathered leaders and interested citizens from business, education, government, non-profit and arts/cultural worlds together to talk about this thing called the "new economy." To our surprise and delight, the response has been overwhelming, with 254 attendees at the first conference at Stonewall Jackson Resort and 395 last year at Snowshoe Mountain Resort.

Even more than the thinly veiled amazement at how one community could be in such bad shape, he clearly was taken aback by the lack of awareness and concern over the town's predicament among its citizens.
