After four years of grass roots creative community building, it's time to take it to the next level West Virginia!

Here's a brief presentation on how we'll do that together. What do you think?

According to the Kauffman Foundation and other leading experts, a healthy job market is highly correlated with a high level of entrepreneurship in a region. In fact, most net new jobs are created by start-up companies, not larger employers.

Do you have an idea for a business or new project on which you would like feedback or help?

We need resources to put ideas into plans, plans into actions, and actions into concrete results. These resources include people, knowledge, tools and of course money. Improving our communities is hard work, but can and does get done! Connecting resources with elements that improve success make the work easier. The sessions in this track are about how to reach those concrete results.

We are very excited about the level of keynote speakers at this year's Create WV conference. There is something for everyone and they are sure to prompt questions and ideas for our West Virginia communities.

There may be many things that folks consider in common between West Virginia and NASCAR, but the word "diversity" probably isn't one of them. Yet in many ways, diversity is the key to future success for both.

We've often held WV Public Radio's Mountain Stage up as a tremendous example of creative economy entrepreneurship. Larry Groce, Andy Ridenour & team have built an internationally known and appreciated cultural asset that has gained the respect of the world's greatest musicians during its 25+ years.
