A Sister City exchange between Charleston and Banska Bystrica, in the heart of Slovakia, is part of creating a new West Virginia. Members and supporters of the delegation will participate in the Huntington, Create West Virginia Conference. The exchange is about building new connections in the global economy and world. Banska Bystrica is creating something new as part of post communist Eastern Europe We, from the CreateWV conference, will be sharing our experience of creating something new as we have begun to develop new areas of the economy, modernized tradtional ones, and share our experience of democracy. Banska Bystrica is creating something new as part of post communist Eastern Europe. We will be learning from their experience as they become an IT center, grow their tourism sector, and experiment with new ways to shape a democratic society.
Members of the delegation include Banska City Manager, the head of the International Relations for the city, Vice Rector for the International Cooperation and Public Relations at Matej Bel University and others that represent a wide spectrum of life in Banska Bystrica.
