Marcus Jadotte, Managing Director of Public Affairs, NASCAR

Marcus Jadotte manages diversity outreach and public affairs for NASCAR, including the Diversity Internship Program. He will share lessons learned from working with a passionate industry in developing proactive diversity programs that open up new markets and new pools of talent for future growth.

 

David Wiley, Ph.D.

Dr. David Wiley, a native of West Virgnia, is Associate Professor of Instructional Psychology and Technology at Brigham Young University, Chief Openness Officer of Flat World Knowledge, and Founder of the Open High School of Utah.

David is also the Founder of OpenContent.org and was recently named one of the 100 Most Creative People in Business by Fast Company magazine. His career is dedicated to increasing access to educational opportunity for everyone around the world.

Anya KamenetzAnya Kamenetz, Staff Writer, Fast Company; Author, Generation Debt

Anya is a staff writer for Fast Company Magazine and the author of Generation Debt. She's also writen a Generation Debt column for Yahoo! Finance and written for publications ranging from New York Times and the Village Voice to ReadyMade magazine and Mental Floss.

One of her latest Fast Company articles was "How the Microgrid Could be the Answer to Our Energy Crisis." She will speak on this topic as well as other insights into new economy and creative talent issues.Her forthcoming book on the future of higher education will be published by Chelsea Green in 2010. Anya lives in Brooklyn, NY.

Kevin Stolarick, Research Director, Martin Prosperity Institute, University of Toronto

Dubbed the “Official Statistician of the Creative Class”, Kevin combines a depth of knowledge with an appreciation of the importance of finding and sharing the knowledge or “pearls of wisdom” gained from his comprehensive understanding of the Creative Class and the Creative Economy.

His research interests include the relationship between firm performance and information technology and the impacts of technology, tolerance, talent, and quality of place on regional growth and prosperity. Kevin provided quantitative research and analytical support for Richard Florida during the development of his books The Rise of the Creative Class, The Flight of the Creative Class and Who’s Your City?.

This research includes primary development of measures, indicators, and benchmarking approaches with significant impact on the growth and development of the Creative Class theory. He continues to work on theoretical and measurement-based advances associated with the Creative Economy.
